Bashful Brilliance

A faint whisper pulled me nearer.  Drawn in and downward, I sat face to flower.  Bashful in the brilliant and soft morning light, this beautiful bloom dawdles.  Such fine and delicate detail, remarkably symmetrical and so well-balanced, I brush back the petals.  I imagine a field full and a day spent wandering, pausing to rest and picnic amongst the vast and seemingly endless beauty.
