Beauty Measured in Grains

My shutter snaps and works to capture the incredible light, the textures and colors in my here and now.  I work and play and breathe here, all while composing an image high  atop Sleeping Bear.  I gaze over Lake Michigan and the Manitou passage.  I sit and lay back into the beauty near the 45th parallel north.  My fingers draw in and out and lift the countless grains that pile, move and build 450 feet above.   The beauty...I wonder if it is measured in grains.
