Sometimes I feel that sunflowers, from the planting of the first seed to photographing the flowers in bloom, have symbolized my growth and journey as an artist and a person.
I have enjoyed all the moments my camera has tugged at me to take it for a walk. I love the artful and creative edit as much as I love to capture the image.
Photographing sunflowers has taught me to recognize the contrast between light and dark and the balance between strength and beauty. Imagine a beauty that not only surrounds, but truly includes.
I also love to call this image the 'Three Sisters.' It looks fantastic on drawstring, messenger, crossbody bags and phone cases...and on your walls.
